Living and learning are intimately intertwined at MTBI. Vast extra-curricular activities, programs, organizations, performances, forums and athletics beckon students, faculty and staff, as well as neighbors from the communities around us.

Accommodation at MTBI

There are hostels for Female and Male Students within the Institution. These are assigned on request from the student. Accommodation in the Hostels is charged for per quarter or per semester and renewable. Lunch and Dinner is served to all resident students as a specified time of 7pm

Counseling and Guidance

The Dean of Student’s Office helps Students who need assistance on guidance about their daily life problems which might hamper their steady progress in the academic field or prevent them from enjoying their life in general. Such problems embrace the whole range of health (Medical and psychiatric) problems, Socio-Economic, marital, sexual, academic, spiritual and other problems.

Fresher’s Week

At MTBI, New Comers are introduced to Life @ MTBI during the “Orientation Week”. All New Comers report on Campus one week earlier than the Continuing students and during this week they are introduced to the key facilities in the Institute as well as other important aspects of life at the MTBI. A programme of activities is always issued out and is expected to be strictly followed.

Medical Access

The Institute works closely with The Big Project Medical Centre strategically situated in front of the main gate. It offers both curative and preventive services. Currently we are having free Hepatitis B immunization for all students. Danna Medical Centre & Naggalama Catholic Hospital are both just a stone throw away from our campus.

Recreation

There are number of recreation and sports activities at MTBI. The Department of Sports and Recreation offers welfare and sports skills services to the students through various games that include:

Games: Netball, Volleyball, Football and Athletics etc

Music Dance and Drama

Indoor Games, Mweso, Draught, Ludo, Go, Darts etc.

Debating , Presentations, Quiz and Public Speech

Students are encouraged to participate in these activities to keep their bodies and minds fit!

MTBI also competes with in the UGAPRIVI Inter-Institutes Football Tournament and our students are encouraged to sign up for the team if they believe they have the potential and would like to develop their skills.

MTBI Spiritual Life

There are various places of worship at the MTBI for the Different Religious Sets.

Catholics gather in ECD Hall every Friday from 12pm – 1pm

Anglicans gather at Main hall every day 5.30 pm – 7pm

Pentecostals gather in the Main Hall every evening 5.30 pm – 7pm

We have a Mosque for the Moslems (always open)
