MTBI Teacher Training School is an Autonomous College within the MTBI Campus that has a Standing Collaboration with Makerere University Institute of Teacher Education and Research (MITER) to offer the above 2-Year Diploma Programmes for both Pre- service and In-service Training. Both the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development (DECE) are designed to produce teachers with an in-depth understanding of the subject matter, sound professional and managerial skills and ability to adapt to the ever-changing educational needs in Uganda. Both courses focus on quality instruction and management of ECD & Primary schools.

Entry Requirements for Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development (DECE)

• Applicants for DECE must have obtained a 2-Year Certificate in Early Childhood Education (CEC) or a Grade III Teacher’s Certificate from a Chartered Training Institution.
• Direct Entrants should have obtained at least One Principle Pass and 2 Subsidiaries at A Level.
